Another Homemade Batmobile, this time from Batman Forever -with Video

There's something about Batmobiles that captures the imagination of handy-craft people like sculptor Bob Causey who built a drivable replica of the model seen in the 1995 film Batman Forever with Val Kilmer as the caped crusader. Like many other Batmobile replicas from various eras, this one too was built in a home garage and it comes with a full working interior and a rectractable hardtop that you can check out in action in the short video after the jump.

SEMA Show BatSmart Fortwo up for Sale on eBay

Forget about the Batmobile "Tumbler" depicted in Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Night" films; if the caped crusader were to be Cartman - The Coon politically correct in these eco-conscious times we live in, this should have been his choice of wheels: a crime fighting, blacked-out and bat-winged Smart Fortwo. Okay but seriously now, this Smart Fortwo mini-Batmobile that was built by Harley Motorsports with a little help from the creator of the 1966 Batmobile, George Barris, is up for grabs on eBay.

The one-off BatSmart that made its world premiere at last year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, is clearly inspired by the '66 Batmobile. Visual treats include the roof-mounted bat-wings, red-pin stripping and even a faux turbine and a parachute - just in case you overdo it and go over 60mph and want to come to a complete halt...

As we speak, the highest bid for the Bat Smart on eBay is US$16,100, however, that is below the seller's reserve price, so unless Harley Motorsports decides otherwise, it will sell for more. And no, as much as we would have liked, the Catwoman depicted in these photos is not included in the sale.

Yet another 1989 Batmobile Replica up for Sale

There seems to be no shortage of Batmobile replicas these days. This one, which is supposed to be an exact recreation of the Batmobile that appeared in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film starring Michael Keaton as the caped crusader, is going to be auctioned by 'Kruse International' in Las Vegas later this month. The working replica is said to ride on a custom-made tube chassis and is equipped with a small block 350 Chevrolet V8 engine.

The faux Batmobile also comes with a full air suspension to help the driver overcome everyday 'criminal-obstacles' like... steep drive ways and road bumps. For those wondering, Kruse does not provide a starting price for the auction.

DEATHMOBILE National Lampoon's Animal HouseIt may not be the original Deathmobile that starred in the 1978 hit comedy National Lampoon’s Animal House with the late John Belushi, but this replica that’s for sale on eBay is definitely an eye-catcher. Like the movie car, the Deathmobile replica is based on a 1960s Lincoln Continental and it has all the original features like the head of Emil Faber's campus statue as a hood ornament, the large tower that displays the fraternity’s letters and the faux teeth and eyes in the front-end of the vehicle. Check out the image gallery along with the original trailer of the movie where you can get a look of the Deathmobile in action right after the jump. -Continued
